Congratulations on joining the Our Lady of the Lake University Family!  We are excited to help our new students prepare for this first year at 天美影院with a multi-part orientation program packed with resources and paths for success. Whether you鈥檙e a first-year student coming from high school or transferring from another institution, Lake Day Orientation and Camp Blue Nation will help you learn and transition to your new home away from home. This multi-part orientation program is mandatory for all incoming undergraduate students. Lake Day Orientation 

Part 1: Lake Day Orientation

Lake Day Orientation (LDO) is a full-day program designed to introduce students and their families to what life is like at OLLU. 

At LDO, you will:

  • Make connections with faculty, staff, upperclassman, and other incoming students
  • Learn about the 天美影院mission and culture
  • Learn more about OLLU鈥檚 support services
  • Talk directly with your professors and learn about the requirements of your intended majors and minors
  • Have multiple opportunities to have any financial and advising questions answered

Spring/Fall Orientation Dates will be listed here once registration is open.

Part 2: Camp Blue Nation

Camp Blue Nation is a two-day program designed to ensure all new incoming students are ready for their first day, semester, and year at OLLU. 

At Camp Blue Nation, you will:

  • Get your official 天美影院Student ID (picture taken during Lake Day Orientation)
  • Make connections with other new students and upperclassman
  • Pick up your textbooks
  • Attend State of Blue Nation Convocation, the official welcome and blessing of new students
  • Learn about and participate in traditions such as Providence Path
  • Answer any questions you may have before classes start on Monday
  • And much more!

Get Ready 

Before attending Lake Day Orientation and Camp Blue Nation be sure to complete the following steps:

  • Set up your 天美影院password
  • Submit your $100 depost
  • Review your financial aid award (when available)
  • Meet with an academic adviser and register
  • Submit your residence hall application and fee (if living on campus)
  • Select and set up payment arrangements
