Teaching Philosophy
For me, teaching graduate classes and guiding dissertations is a calling....and a gift! As a professor/leader of professional working adult learners, I strive to be mindful of where my students are in their learning goals and to recognize their needs for development of mind, body, and spirit as scholar/practitioners. Being in the classroom with students who are accomplished professionals and committed adult lifelong learners is invigorating! I never tire of being enthusiastically pumped about new students and the opportunity to teach theories associated with leadership, culture, strategy, and dissertation research. The ultimate feeling of joy hits when students dreams become reality as they complete their degrees at graduation and move into higher levels within their organizations or new horizons. I am honored to be a part of the legacy of the Congregation of Sisters of Divine Providence by serving Our Lady of the Lake University graduate students at the La Feria (Rio Grande Valley), Houston, and San Antonio campuses.
