Areas of Expertise
I have over 10 years of experience in the news industry as a multimedia journalist, news producer, and news anchor. Through my work, I have developed a deep understanding of the media landscape and a keen eye for storytelling. I am passionate about using my expertise to help others learn the skills they need to succeed in the industry. One area of expertise that I have developed is teaching interview skills and camera shooting skills. I believe that these skills are essential for anyone looking to work in the media field, and I take great pride in helping others develop their abilities. Additionally, I have found that building confidence is a key aspect of success in the industry. I am committed to helping others build their confidence and find their voice, whether it's in front of the camera or behind the scenes.
Teaching Philosophy
As an educator, I believe that the best way for students to learn is through hands-on experiences. I strive to create a learning environment that encourages students to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them. I believe that these experiences help students develop the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. Teamwork is another important aspect of my teaching philosophy. I believe that students learn best when they work together and support each other. By creating a collaborative classroom environment, I hope to instill a sense of community and encourage students to help each other grow and learn. Finally, I believe that being available to students anytime is essential. Whether it's answering questions after class, responding to emails, or scheduling one-on-one meetings, I strive to be as accessible as possible. This helps students feel supported and valued, and it allows me to better understand their needs and challenges.
Outside Interests
I have a few passions that I love to pursue in my free time. One of my favorite hobbies is writing and reading poetry. There is something so special about being able to express myself through words and connect with others through their own written work. When I'm not writing, I love to spend time outdoors. Hiking and boating are two activities that I find particularly enjoyable. There's nothing quite like the feeling of being surrounded by nature and taking in all the beautiful sights and sounds that come with it. These activities help me relax and recharge so I can tackle whatever comes my way.
