Areas of Expertise
My area of expertise is in Kinesiology with a focus on exercise science. My research interests tend to lean more towards environmental physiology, but I pretty much like anything that deals with body movement and exercise.
Teaching Philosophy
Educate, motivate and inspire! Education is much more than just giving homework and exams, part of our job is to mold our students into the best humans that we can and we can do this by educating them on what being a great human is. We can motivate not only through our actions, but through helping our students learn how to motivate themselves (more education!). Finally, inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes, and with as much contact that we have with our students, we should strive to motivate them every day.
Outside Interests
I love anything outdoors. Fishing, hunting, hiking and pretty much anything that you can think of that you can do outdoors. I guess you can say that I'm just your run of the mill Texan.
